Pilot: Managing existing business models (new feature setup)

From the Business models overview page, you can view, edit, and archive models. To make a new business model, see Pilot: Creating a business model (new feature setup).

View business models

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the side navigation menu, click icon Accounting to open the dropdown menu.
  3. Under Accounting setup, select Business models.

The default view shows active models, which are those with at least one assigned or scheduled listing. Navigate and customize your view in the following ways:

  • View configuration summaries: Click items in the "Net rental income", "Fees", or other columns to see a pop-up summary of that model's setup.
  • Filter models: Click Add filters to sort models by activation date, assigned listings, net rental income calculation, and more.
  • See other business models: In the lefthand menu, click "Inactive business models" or "Archived business models".

Edit a business model and publish new version

When you edit an active business model, you must publish the changes to create a new version. This allows you to track changes over time and choose how to apply them.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the side navigation menu, click icon Accounting to open the dropdown menu.
  3. Under Accounting setup, select Business models.
  4. Click the Edit icon to the right of the model you want to edit.
  5. Click the Edit icon in each configuration section as needed and make the required changes.
  6. Once you've made all changes, in the top-right corner, click Publish new version.
  7. In the pop-up, choose how to apply the changes:
    • Apply changes moving forward: The new version will only apply to new reservations.
    • Reprocess existing bookings: The new version will be applied to existing reservations. Select a date from which to start reprocessing. Learn more about Reprocessing a reservation manually.
  8. Click Publish new version or Publish new version & reprocess.
