Group reservations allows guests to book multiple rooms for the same dates in a single transaction through your Guesty Booking Engine. This article explains how to enable group reservations and what the guest experience looks like.
Understanding the multi-unit property requirement
Tob enable group reservations, your Guesty account must have at least one multi-unit property.
- If your account has at least one multi-unit property: The checkbox to enable group reservations will be active and you can turn it on or off.
- If your account has no multi-unit properties: The checkbox is disabled and non-clickable. If you hover over the disabled checkbox, a tooltip will appear with the message, “Multi-room selection unavailable”.
Enable group reservations
Follow the instructions below to enable guests to make group reservations.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the side navigation menu, click
Marketing and sales to open the dropdown menu. - Under Channel management, select Distribution.
- Click the Guesty Booking Engine thumbnail.
- Click
next to the relevant Booking Engine, and select Edit booking engine. - In the side navigation menu, click Booking settings.

Under "Group reservations", check the Allow guests to select multiple rooms box to allow guest to select multiple rooms during their search and booking process.
If this box is unchecked, the option to select the quantity of rooms is hidden from guests.
- In the side navigation menu, click Languages to navigate to the last action.
- Click Save Booking Engine to apply your changes.
When group reservations are enabled, guests using your Booking Engine or Guesty Website widget will be able to book multiple rooms in a single reservation flow.
The option to select the number of rooms will appear in the following places:
- The search bar in the Booking Engine
- The property page
