Beta: Unifying Guesty Website and Booking Engine domains

Unified domains improve SEO and guest satisfaction by providing a single, cohesive URL shared between your Guesty Website and Guesty Booking Engine. Set up and track your unified domain directly from your Guesty Website dashboard, without the need to schedule a call or set it up manually.

Before you begin

• Create a Guesty Website.
• Ensure you have access to your domain's DNS settings if you are using a third-party provider.
• Have your login credentials ready as you’ll be required to update your DNS settings.

Unify your domains

Follow the instructions below to unify your Guesty Website and Guesty Booking Engine domains.

Step by step:

1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth mode.
3. Click Distribution.
4. Click the Guesty Websites thumbnail.
5. To the right of the relevant website, click .
6. To unify your domain, select Unify domain and confirm the action in the popup.

7. Click Start.

   Note:

   Have your login credentials ready to update your DNS settings.

8. Select your unified domain from the list. This is the shared URL guests will see for your Guesty Website and Guesty Booking Engine.
9. Click Next.
10. Choose your verified domain:
    • If you choose to Connect an external domain:

      1. Enter your domain in the "Domain" field provided. 

         Important:

         You must enter a URL that includes a prefixed subdomain. For example, www.example.com, booking.example.com, contact.example.com

      2. Click Next.
      3. Configure your DNS settings:
         1. Ensure the “Final unified domain” is accurate. Click Change to update it.
         2. Navigate to your domain provider’s DNS setup, set the CNAME record to your CNAME target, and save your changes.
         3. Check the box to confirm completion the DNS configuration.

         4. Click Next.

            Verification can take up to 45 minutes.

    • If you choose your Guesty domain:
      1. Ensure the “Final unified domain” is accurate. Click Change to update it.

      2. Click Send request.

         Unification can take up to 10 days.

11. Click Finish.

The notification center displays the success or failure of your unified domain process. 

View the status of your unified domain process in the Guesty Website dashboard.
