Troubleshooting: Suspended Airbnb account notification

If you see a notification in Guesty that your Airbnb account is suspended, it may be related to a capability restriction rather than a full account suspension. Guesty notifications may not specify the exact Airbnb limitation, and in many cases, your account and listings remain active and connected despite the alert.

Follow the troubleshooting recommendations below to identify whether your account is fully suspended or simply restricted.

Terminology

  • Account suspension: Airbnb disables the account. Listings are not bookable or visible, and most account functions are blocked.
  • Capability restriction: Airbnb places a temporary limit on a specific action, such as receiving payouts or activating new listings. The account remains active.

Resolve account restrictions

Guesty can't lift restrictions placed by third-party channels. Contact Airbnb’s Trust & Safety team to guide you on the steps required to remove any capability restrictions.
