Troubleshooting: Basic Websites incorrect map pin location

Map pin locations on Basic Websites display your property's address to help guests locate your listing. Incorrect map pin locations in your website property previews may occur because Basic Websites use Mapbox. Mapbox sources address data from HERE Maps, and these pin locations can't be manually edited or customized through Guesty's Basic Website editor.

Implement one of the options below to correct map pin locations.

Add Google Maps links to guest communications

While you can’t replace the map on your Guesty Website, you can provide accurate Google Maps links in other guest touchpoints.

Follow the instructions below to locate a Google Maps URL.

  1. In Google Maps, search for your property address.
  2. Click Share.
  3. Copy the link provided.
  4. Paste this link to your automated messages or listing descriptions.

Upgrade to a Guesty Advanced Website

If the incorrect map pin location significantly impacts your guest experience, consider upgrading to an Advanced Website for more customization options. Advanced Websites include HTML and embedding capabilities that allow you to integrate custom map solutions. With an advanced website, you can:

  • Embed Google Maps widgets
  • Customize map appearance and functionality
  • Override default map providers
