Booking Engine and BE API: Website name field for direct sources

If you manage multiple direct Booking Engines or Booking Engine APIs, the “Website name” field offers an even deeper level of attribution. Here’s how it works:

  • The “Website name” field appears only when the “Channel” field is set to “Manual” and the reservation’s source is either “Booking engine”,  “website” or “BE API”.
  • The "Website name" field provides clear visibility into your booking sources by displaying:
    • “Business name” of the Booking Engine for “Booking engine” and “website” sourced reservations.
    • “Nick name” of the Booking Engine API for “BE API” sourced reservations.
  • You’ll easily see which integration delivers the most value, making it simpler to analyze your marketing efforts and guest segments.

Where to find the “Website name” field

Guesty makes it easy to find both the ”Source” and “Website name” fields throughout the platform:

  • Reservation page: View the website name field within any direct reservation’s details when applicable.
  • Reservation widget: Identify the website origin at a glance right from the reservation summary.
  • Reservation report: Use the “Website name” column and filter to analyze, segment, and export your reservations by Booking engine, website or BE API integration source.

Limitations

  • Website name visibility: Only appears when reservations come directly from Booking Engine or BE API sources, hidden for all other reservation sources.
  • Manual source selection: Website name field won't display if you manually select "Booking Engine", "website", or "BE API" for reservations that didn't actually originate from these sources.
  • Reservation Report: New field data displays everywhere except the reservation report page if reservations occurred before March 2025
  • API access: Website name field is not currently available through the reservation object's Open API endpoint (feature planned for future release)
