When you remove tags from your listings or properties, you might notice these tags still appear as filter options in your Booking Engine. This happens because the Booking Engine's tag filter settings operate independently from your property tag settings.
Follow these steps to ensure only your current, active tags appear as filters in your Booking Engine.
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Growth.
- Click Distribution and select Booking Engine.
- Select the relevant booking engine from the dashboard by clicking the three dots and select Edit Booking Engine.
- On the left side menu, select Booking settings.
- Under “Search bar and filter settings (booking widget)”, find the “Filter by property tags (categories)” and clear all tag selections by clicking X.
- On the top right, click Next until you reach the Save Booking Engine button and click it to save your changes.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5.
- Under “Search bar and filter settings (booking widget)”, find the “Filter by property tags (categories)” and enter the appropriate tags (currently active and relevant to your properties).
- On the top right, click Next until you reach the Save Booking Engine button and click it to save your changes.
This process forces the Booking Engine to refresh its tag database and sync with your current property tags, removing any outdated options that may confuse your guests during their booking experience.
