Claim resolution time
Once you submit a claim, you will receive email notifications immediately at each stage of the process (e.g., when the claim is received, accepted, or denied).
The time it takes for a claim to be fully resolved can vary widely depending on the specifics of the claim. Since this is a liability policy, claims are typically low-frequency, high-severity events, meaning that when they do occur, the complexity and severity can impact the resolution time.
For example:
- Bodily injury claims: These tend to take longer to settle. A claim related to a serious injury, such as a broken leg, could take 6 months or more to close, depending on medical treatment and recovery.
-
Soft tissue injuries: These claims typically settle more quickly, often within 30 days or less.
Keep in mind that the timeline for resolving a claim will depend on the nature of the injury, the necessary investigations, and other factors specific to the case.
