Setting a listing's check-in window

The check-in window helps you optimize your listing’s occupancy and minimize gaps between reservations, by setting how many days after a previous check-out (or from today) new guests can check-in.

Once set up, Guesty automatically updates your calendar to reflect the check-in window, blocking unavailable check-in dates across Guesty and all connected channel listings, while still allowing check-outs. 

You can manually override these settings at any time, maintaining full control over your reservation calendar.

If you have multiple future reservations, the system handles each individually, adjusting check-in availability according to your gap rules until it reaches a reservation block. This ensures that your calendar remains fully optimized for occupancy.

Important:

Restricting check-ins reduces your property’s availability.

Follow the steps below to set up the check-in window for your listing.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
  3. Click Properties.
  4. Select the relevant listing.
  5. In the left-side menu, click Calendar, and then select Availability settings.
  6. Click Edit.
  7. Under "Check-in restrictions", set the number of days allowed for check-ins after a previous check-out.
  8. Click Save.

    The system automatically applies these rules to the calendar.
