Mobile App: Enabling and choosing notifications

Guesty offers many in-app notifications to help you stay on yop of your business including booking channels, payment, reservations, and more. With the Guesty mobile app you have the option to use push notifications to send alerts to your phone even when you aren't using the app.

Before you begin

Your phone's settings impact how notifications appear in the Guesty mobile app. This article helps you enable and configure notifications on your device. 

Android:

  • Check your phone's modes. Avoid modes such as "Work", “Sleep”, or “Personal” that might affect notifications. 
  • Turn off “Low Power Mode” to prevent delays in notifications. 
  • Disable “Developer Options” to ensure background app activity isn't restricted. 
  • Disable “Deep Sleep” settings to allow background apps to function properly.  

IPhone:

  • Choose “Immediate Delivery” instead of “Scheduled Summary” for prompt notifications.
  • Turn off “Low Power Mode” to prevent delays in notifications. 
  • Adjust “Do Not Disturb” and other “Focus” modes. Select “Immediate delivery” instead for prompt notifications.

Enable notifications from Guesty on your device

  1. Open your device settings and find the Guesty app settings. 
  2. Tap Notifications
  3. Turn the toggle on next to “Allow notifications”. 

 

Configure notifications in the Guesty Mobile app

Choose notification type

After enabling notifications on your phone, choose the notifications you want to receive as Push Notifications, In-App Notification, or both:

  • Push Notifications:

    Alerts sent to your mobile device even when the Guesty app is closed. These deliver updates on important activities without needing to open the app.
  • In-App Notifications:

    Notifications that appear within the Guesty app’s Notification Center, keeping you informed about activities and updates while you’re using the app.

Configure notifications

Option 1:

  1. Sign in to the Guesty mobile app.
  2. Tap the bell icon at the top right corner. 
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Select Push Notifications or General Notifications
  5. Turn the toggle on or off for the notifications you want to receive

Option 2:

  1. Sign in to the Guesty mobile app. 
  2. Tap the menu icon at the bottom. 
  3. Tap Settings. 
  4. Select Push Notifications or General Notifications. 
  5. Turn the toggle on or off for the notifications you want to receive.

Important:

Tasks and Inbox notifications appear only as Push Notifications and don’t show as In-App Notifications in your phone's Notification Center.
