The Guesty mobile app simplifies task management for your properties and reservations. This guide and video explain how to create, assign, and organize tasks to stay on top of your work and improve your workflow.
Sign in to the mobile app
Follow the steps below to download and sign in to the Guesty mobile app.
Step by step
- Download the Guesty mobile app.
- Log in with the provided username and password. After your first login, you'll receive an authentication email. Follow the instructions in the email to verify your Guesty account.
Once you open the app, the Home page displays by default.
Create tasks
You can create and edit tasks directly from the mobile app, making task management easier while on the go.
Follow the steps below to create a new task.
Note:
Only certain user roles have access to this feature. Operation Supervisors and Operation Staff can access their tasks more easily directly from the navigation bar.
Step by step
- Sign in to the Guesty mobile app.
- On the bottom right, tap
. - Tap Tasks.
- At the bottom right of the screen, tap + Task.
- Enter a name for the task and tap Next.
- Select the task type.

Fill in additional fields.
Additional fields- Select a priority level.
- Assign the task to a team member.
- Select a supervisor.
- Choose the relevant property or reservation.
- Choose a specific or flexible completion date and time.
- Choose the duration of the task.
- Enter a description.
- Add a checklist.
- Add documents, instructions, or photos.
- At the bottom, tap Save.
Edit tasks
Follow the steps below to edit an existing task.
Step by step
- Repeat steps 1-2.
- Tap the task you want to edit.
- At the top-right, tap
and select Edit. - In the pop-up, select if you want to edit the task series or an instance.
- Update the details as needed.
- At the bottom, tap Save.
Tip:
To change a task’s status, tap the task and change the status in the dropdown menu at the bottom of the screen, or use the Edit option.
Staff workflow

Select task views
The tasks screen shows your assigned tasks by default in the "My tasks" view.
If your team uses shared assignments, you'll also need to check "Group tasks." Tap the current view's name at the top and select Group tasks from the dropdown.
You can also view Tasks I'm supervising and Tasks I recently created.
Tasks are organized into three categories, tap the tabs at the top to select Today, Upcoming, or Unscheduled.
Sort tasks
Organize your task list to prioritize work and find specific tasks quickly.
Step by step:
- Next to the selected view's name, tap
. - From the dropdown, select Sort by to organize the list by schedule time, name, or priority.
- After applying the relevant filter, tap Save at the top-right corner.
- Tap Clear to remove any applied filters.
- Tap
to search for tasks by name or view previously completed tasks.
Manage tasks
Tap any task to view its details, including:
- Task name
- Assignee
- Supervisor
- Start and end date and time
- Planned duration
- Task description
Under the description, you'll find these options:
- Comments: Tap the camera icon to photograph each room before and after completing the task, then add comments. If you discover damage in the unit, take a photo and leave a comment for the supervisor.
- Checklist: Tap each item to mark it as complete.
- Property: Tap the map to open the address in your phone's navigation app. Below the map, tap the address to copy it to your phone.
- Reservation: View the check-out time for the current reservation or the check-in time for the upcoming reservation.
- Documents & instructions: Review any attached documents that require your attention.
Add tasks to your calendar
You can add tasks to your calendar, making it easier to manage tasks on the go.
Step by step:
- In the tasks screen, tap the relevant task.

At the top-right corner, tap
and select Add this task to my Calendar.Guesty's mobile app will request permission to access your calendar the first time you add a task.
- Save the details to your mobile Calendar.
Accept, start, and end tasks
You can accept a task in two ways:
- From the selected view in the tasks screen. Tap Accept task under the relevant task.
- From the task details screen, tap Accept task at the bottom of the screen.
From the task details screen, when you arrive at the property and are ready to begin, tap Start task. This changes the task status to "In progress" and begins time tracking.
Once you've completed the task, tap End task. Return to the "My tasks" view to check for new assignments and continue your work.
