Message automations apply to all published listings. You can customize your automated messages by adding variables to ensure each guest receives the right communication.
For example, you can use variables to customize automated messaging for two listings that have different check-in times, or to provide different entry instructions depending on the listing. Learn more about which variables you can add to an automated message.
Follow the instructions below to customize message automations per listing. Once you have synced listings and set up your reservation policy, you can set up your message automations. When the message is triggered, the automated message will be propagated with information specific to the listing.
Set up the reservation policy
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click Listings.
- Click the relevant listing.
- In the left menu select Pricing & policies.
- Click Reservation policies.
- Click Edit to add the relevant information, such as check-in times, entry instructions, and more.
- Click Save.
- Repeat the process for all listings.
Set up your messaging automations
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click Messaging.

Create a new message automation.
Alternatively, if you want to edit an existing automated message, click the ellipsis icon next to the relevant message automation and click Edit. Select the message you want to edit, or click Add message to create a new one.
- Add variables to customize your automated message.
- Click Save.
