Unlocking and locking a door remotely

Effortlessly unlock any supported door with just a click in Guesty Locks Manager. The "Unlock door" button can be reached by accessing the guest code in a reservation or on the lock page.

Important:

Only account admins can used the remote unlock feature.

Follow the steps below to remotely unlock and re-lock a door.

From within a reservation

Pro users Lite users

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. Access the relevant reservation with the door to unlock via the reservation, the Inbox, or the Multi-Calendar.
  3. In the right sidebar, click the locks icon
  4. Under "Locks", locate the relevant lock and click Unlock door. Allow several seconds for the process to complete.
  5. To lock the door again, click Lock door.

From the lock page

Pro users Lite users

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
  3. Click Field operations and select Locks manager.
  4. In the “Locks” page top bar, click Linked.
  5. Click on the relevant lock.
  6. At the top right, click Unlock door. Allow several seconds for the process to complete.
  7. When ready to lock the door again, click Lock door.
