Managing documents related to an owner

Store important owner-related documents, like rental agreements or utility bills, and choose whether to keep them private or share them with the owner. You can upload documents for each owner via the owner profile. If you want to upload a single document to multiple owners, contact us. Only PDF file format is supported. The maximum file size limit is 5 MB. When a document is shared, the owner can download it via the Owners Portal.

Follow the instructions to manage documents related to an owner.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
  3. Click Owners.
  4. Select the relevant owner.
  5. In the left sidebar, click Documents.
  6. In the top right, click + Add document.
  7. Click Upload document and select the document you want to add. 

    To view the document click .

    To change the document click Change document.

  8. Check the Label as contract box if the document is a contract. 
  9. Give the document a name. This field is required.

    Add a description for your own reference. 

  10. Switch the share the document with your owner toggle on or off to make the document visible or not visible in the Owners Portal.
  11. Switch the Effective dates toggle on if the document has an expiration date and select the relevant dates. We’ll send a system email notification to the contact email address listed in your company's billing information 90 days before it expires.

    Switch the Effective dates toggle off if the document has no expiration date. 

  12. Click Save.

Additional actions can be handled from the "Documents" page:

Once a document is uploaded, you can control whether or not it’s visible to the owner. Switch the Visible in owners portal toggle on or off accordingly and confirm the action in the pop-up.

To edit, download or delete a document, click next to the relevant document, and confirm the action in the pop-up.
