Can I change the name of a user group?

This article is relevant for:

When you create a user in Guesty you can add them to a group to help you assign tasks to many users at once, for example. You can add the user to an existing group or create a new group and add them on the spot, but you cannot change the name of an existing group.

If you realize that the "Cleaners" group should actually be "Cleaners Texas", for example, we recommend the following solution.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Setup mode.
  3. Click User management.
  4. Select one user that should be in the "Cleaners Texas" group, and under "Groups":
    1. Click x next to "Cleaners" to remove the user from that group.
    2. Type in "Cleaners Texas" in full, and click the name in the dropdown menu to save the new group. The user will be automatically added to the group after the next step.
    3. Click Save.
  5. Go back to the user management page and, one by one, move all relevant users to the "Cleaners Texas" group:
    1. Select the user you want to move.
    2. Click x next to "Cleaners" to remove the user from that group.
    3. Start typing in "Cleaners Texas" and click the name when it appears in the dropdown menu. The user will be automatically added to the group after the next step.
    4. Click Save.
