Marriott guest invoices display different items depending on when the reservation was created. Review the appropriate section below for details.

Reservations created before January 8, 2026

The taxes and fees are shown as Guesty receives them from Marriott . Guesty doesn't provide the exact itemized values of the cleaning fee or other additional fees.

Invoice item

Description
Accommodation fare

The sum of the reservation's nightly rates minus any discount contract with Marriott and minus generic Marriott promotions. 

Accommodation fare does not include potential extra person fees.
Total reservation taxes The sum of all taxes applied to the accommodation fare and reservation fees.
Service fee The sum of all basic and additional fees, including extra person fee, cleaning fee, and any other fees synced with Marriott .
Host channel fee (displayed as a negative amount) The sum of Marriott ’s commission and transaction processing fee.
Total The total payout amount you receive.

Reservations created after January 8, 2026

New reservations created from January 8, 2026, use this updated invoice breakdown. Reservations made before this date may still use the older format, even for future stays. 

See the list below of the different items displayed on your Marriott guest reservation invoice.

Description
Accommodation fare The sum of the reservation's nightly rates minus any discount contract with Marriott and minus generic Marriott promotions.
Taxes Each tax synced to Marriott appears as a separate invoice item. View the list of taxes synced to Marriott.
Fees including cleaning fee All fees, including the cleaning fee, appear as separate invoice items. View the list of fees synced to Marriott.
Host channel fee (displayed as a negative amount) The sum of Marriott ’s commission and transaction processing fee.
Total The total payout amount you receive.

To see which invoice breakdown applies to a reservation, check its creation date. Some reservations for future dates in 2026 may still use the previous invoice logic if the reservation was created before January 8, 2026.
