Beta: Connecting and linking an Expedia property to Guesty

The information in this article is relevant only for Pro users at this time.

This article accompanies our instructions for linking an existing Expedia property with an existing Guesty listing.
During this process, you will need to complete three steps, explained below.

Before you begin

Below is some important information to note about connecting and linking Expedia listings to Guesty:

  • Set Guesty as the Property Management System (PMS) for the property on Expedia Partner Central
If it has not been done already, set Guesty as the Property Management System (PMS) for the property on Expedia Partner Central.
If you have more than 20 properties, contact us — we'll ask Expedia to set Guesty as the PMS for all of them at once on your behalf.
  • Set up the Guesty listing before starting the linking process
This ensures that the Guesty listing has the same listing type as the Expedia property.

Expedia distribution page

You can view all of your Expedia listings on the Distribution page.

The dashboard will display your listings in Guesty, the Property ID from Guesty, the Room ID from Expedia, the payment type, the listed address in Expedia, the cancellation policy/rate plan, and the listing's connection status.

The "cancellation policy" column will display one of the following:

  • The rate plan connected ("Policy from rate plan/s")
  • The name of the cancellation policy connected
  • Need rate plan - not bookable
This means that even if your listing is connected, you'll need to add an active rate plan in order for the listing to be bookable.
