Creating or editing a "Welcome Message" for your Airbnb listing

You can create and send a short, automated message to guests once they have made an Instant Book reservation. 

Use the welcome message to let guests know when they can expect additional information from you, including information about their stay or anything else you would like to share.
If you already have a welcome message in Airbnb, it will be imported with your listing, however, you can follow the steps below to edit the message at any time.


Before you begin

Below is some important information to note about Airbnb welcome messages.

  • The message should be 10-200 characters long and must follow Airbnb's Content Policy
  • The welcome message is visible to the guest on Airbnb on the "Confirm reservation" page, under the "Required for your trip" section


Creating or editing an Airbnb listing "Welcome Message"

Follow the instructions below to create a welcome message or edit an existing one.

Pro users Lite users

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Operations mode.
  3. Click Properties.
  4. Click the relevant listing.
  5. Click Pricing & Policies.


    The "Welcome Message" field will be under the Marketing tab for some users.

  6. From the dropdown menu, click Reservation policies.
  7. Scroll down to the "Booking options" section, and click Edit.
  8. Under "Welcome message (optional)", create or edit the message (between 10 and 200 characters long).
  9. Click Save.
