Vrbo error message: The listing should include content in the following Vrbo brand language

The information in this article is relevant only for Guesty Lite users who started connecting Vrbo before 19 Feb 2024 and for Pro users.

Note:

If you are part of the Pilot program to manage multiple languages in Guesty, see here.

Vrbo brands support specific languages, and it's essential to match your listing content in Guesty with the supported language of your Vrbo brand, that was selected when connecting to Guesty.  To confirm the supported languages for your specific brand, refer to page 35 in Vrbo's Self-Service Onboarding guide:

For example, if your chosen brand is Vrbo Spain, all listing content must be written in Spanish. Guesty automatically checks each listing's content to ensure that it is written in the correct language, and notifies you if changes are needed before you can publish your listing.

To resolve the issue, ensure that all the listing’s descriptions in Guesty match the brand's native language.

Please note that single non-native words can trigger this error. For example, the description is in Spanish but includes the word "internet". You will need to remove or translate any non-native words before successfully publishing to Vrbo.

Note:

If the master brand is English-speaking, Vrbo automatically uses Google Translate and pushes the translations to all other Vrbo international websites.
