You can use promotions on Airbnb to increase your immediate bookings, encourage your past guests to return, and even attract new audiences. You can easily set promotions to your Airbnb listings via Guesty.
Note:
- All the Airbnb promotion types (see below) are set as discounted amounts (%), from the reservation’s total amount
- Guesty's Airbnb promotions (see below) are not supported in China and Hungary

Guesty Promotion Types
Airbnb supports the following predefined Guesty promotions:
Early Bird
Add these discounts to quickly fill up your calendar in advance. This promotion type is defined by the following parameters:
- Discount amount (%)
- How long before check-in can guests book using this promotion (i.e., promotion ends X days before check-in)
- When can guests stay using this promotion (i.e., always/within a specific date range)
Airbnb display:
Length of Stay
Offer your guests attractive prices for longer stays. This promotion type is defined by the following parameters:
- Discount amount (%)
- How long do guests need to stay to use this promotion (i.e., X night(s) or more to use this promotion)
- When can guests stay using this promotion (i.e., always/within a specific date range)
- The discount will only apply for the nights in which all the conditions are met (minimum number of nights, and the booking dates are within the date range).
- If the reservation's dates are only partly set within the specific date range of the promotion, the discount will only be applied to the nights within the date range.
Airbnb display:
Last Minute
Boost last-minute reservations with special offers to fill up vacant spaces on your listings.
This promotion type is defined by the following parameters:
- Discount amount (%)
- How long before check-in can guests book using this promotion (i.e., promotion starts X day(s) before check-in date.
- When can guests stay using this promotion (i.e., always/within a specific date range).
Airbnb display:
Unlike Early Bird & Length of Stay promotions, Last Minute promotions are not shown as a separate item on the Airbnb reservation tab (see below). The discount is pre-deducted from the total sum of the reservation.
Other Promotion Types
The following promotions are not supported by Guesty and must be managed directly on Airbnb. These promotions will not appear on the calendar.
Custom Promotion
You can create Custom promotions via Airbnb.
Custom promotions can only be synced to Guesty, but cannot be edited via Guesty. learn more here.
A New Listing Promotion
You can set up a New Listing Promotion via Airbnb when meeting the following conditions:
- You have a new listing with 0 booking.
- You enabled instant booking for the listing and disabled Smart Pricing.
Following publishing the listing, your guests can book reservations occurring within the next 90 days. The discount expires after the third promotional booking, or 30 days after your promotion publication date (whichever happens first).
Note:
- New Listing Promotions will only be synced to Guesty, but cannot be edited via Guesty.
- If a New Listing Promotion is applied, it will not be combined with any other type of discount or promotion.
Discounted Price Display
A price will only be crossed out on Airbnb’s display if the discount is at least 10% lower than the median price for that night over the last 30 days.
The former price will be crossed off, and the discounted price will be shown next to it, in the following form:
Promotions Removed by Airbnb
Airbnb may remove a promotion if it determines that the promotion violates Airbnb’s Host Discount Policy, such as if you raise the price right before applying a promotion. Learn more here.
