Managing vendors

Accounting by Guesty is a premium feature available to Pro users only. Please contact us to discuss activating it.

If you are working with third-party service providers that are paid directly from your business's trust account, you can add them in Guesty to keep track of payments owed to them. Follow the instructions below based on your current needs.

Add a new vendor

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Accounting mode.
  3. Click Vendors.
  4. At the top right, click the plus icon.
  5. Fill in the relevant fields.
  6. Click Confirm.

Edit or delete an existing vendor

Important:

Vendors created by default for the reporting of taxes cannot be deleted. Additionally, vendors with a balance different than zero cannot be deleted.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Accounting mode.
  3. Click Vendors.
  4. To the right of the relevant vendor, click  the horizontal ellipsis  and select Edit or Delete.
  5. To edit, update the vendor's details as needed and click Confirm. To delete, click Delete in the pop-up.

Locate vendors in Guesty

You can use custom views to help you find vendors based on filters and columns you choose. All vendors that match these parameters will appear in the view. Create a new custom view by changing the filters or columns of an existing view. Follow the instructions below.

Step by step:

  1. Sign in to your Guesty account.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the mode selector and select Accounting mode.
  3. Click Vendors.
  4. At the top left, click the plus icon to add a filter or hover over an existing filter to edit (click the pencil icon) or remove (click x).
  5. Above the table to the right, click Columns to add or remove columns by turning the toggle on or off. 
  6. To save the custom view for quick access in the future, click Save as above the table to the right.
  7. In the pop-up, name the new custom view.
  8. Click Save.
The custom view will be added to the dropdown menu above "Filters", under "All".

Tip:

You can mark a custom view as a "favorite" by hovering over it and clicking the star to the right. It will be added to the "favorites" section of the dropdown.
