The Payment Gateway Fee is a fee Guesty charges whenever a transaction is made with a guest using the GuestyPay, Merchant Warrior, or Hyp payment processor. These transactions include charging a payment, requesting an authorization hold, or refunding a charge.
When a guest's payment fails, Guesty will attempt to charge the payment method three times and every attempt will incur a payment gateway fee. Please note that the fee is only charged if there is an issue with the payment method and not due to an issue on our side.
Note:
Guesty will charge a percentage of all funds processed through Stripe. Stripe collects this fee in addition to their own fee for payment processing. This is separate from the Payment Gateway Fee.
