The Payment Gateway Fee (also known as the Platform Fee) enables you to process payments securely and efficiently within Guesty. By connecting supported processors like GuestyPay, Merchant Warrior, or Hyp, you ensure smooth transactions for your guests. This fee appears on your regular invoices based on your billing cycle.
These capabilities help you manage transactions securely:
- Improve the user interface and user experience.
- Connect payment processors to secure online transactions.
- Meet the highest security standards with PCI Level 1 Service Provider Certification.
- Store and manage payment card information for future transactions using card-on-file (CoF).
Charging conditions
The fee applies to all transactions processed through payment processors connected to Guesty.
- Applies whenever you process a transaction with a guest.
- Includes charging a payment, initiating an authorization hold, and initiating a security deposit.
- Applies regardless of the transaction status, including "Processed" or "Declined".
Understand fee processing
Charges appear under a single reservation reference. Although this may look like an overcharge, we apply a fee for every distinct payment attempt, including failed, canceled, and successful transactions.
We apply a fee for each of the following:
- Unique credit card used
- Unique reason for failure
- Successful charge
- Cancellation
For example, if there are three failed attempts on one card for insufficient funds, one failure on the same card for a different reason, and one failure on a different card, it results in three fees.
