The Request to Book feature can be utilized for property owners to accept reservations outside of their regular availability.
This can be beneficial for owners who are flexible with their property’s availability, but still would like an advance notice before accepting a new reservation.
Activating Owner Rental Periods
Step by step:
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top navigation bar, click the icon drop-down menu and select Operations mode.
- Click Owners.
- Select the relevant owner you’d like to give approval permissions to.
- Scroll down to the “Features” section, and activate the Enable Owner Rental Periods toggle.
- Mark the box “Enable owners to define rental periods that require owner’s approval”.
- Click Save.

Sending a reservation to approve
In order for owners to be able to approve or decline reservations, you’ll need to send them the request.
Important:
Both you and the owner need to approve the request in order for the reservation to be confirmed.
Owner approval only applies to direct reservations.
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- Open the relevant reservation.
- In the “Summary” field, click the three vertical dots next to Booking request needs owner approval.
- Click Copy approval link to send to the owner to copy the reservation’s request link, and paste it into a message or e-mail to send it to the owner.
After that, the owner can approve or decline it via the Owners Portal.
