Any property that is shared between different external services, such as PMCs and advertising services, is referred to as "non-exclusive inventory".
You can use iCal to sync a non-exclusive inventory listing's Guesty calendar with external calendars to help avoid double bookings and present the correct availability to guests.
When you import a calendar into Guesty, events from the external calendar will block the Guesty calendar. Follow the instructions below to import a listing's Guesty calendar to external calendars using iCal.
Before You Begin
Before you begin, take note of the following important information:
- You may add up to 10 import links per property/sub-unit.
- Updates made to the Guesty calendar will be reflected in the imported calendar within 1 hour.
- You can view the status of the import at any time in the listing's menu. See step 8 below.
- Past blocks/reservations will not be available via the iCal.
- Imported events don’t trigger Smart Calendar rules.
- Events received using iCal are excluded from Advanced Analytics data. Events will be considered as calendar blocks.
- When changing the imported calendar’s name, the new name will be updated upon the next import.
- In case your listings have been double booked, you can remove the connection and start over.
