The information in this article is relevant only for Pro users at this time. For information about booking websites for Lite users, refer to the Guesty Booking Engine
Guesty Websites creates and updates a sitemap XML file for every website. A sitemap lists all of the URLs for your site and includes eCommerce category pages and product URLs (for both native stores and third party stores). It then auto-submits that sitemap to search engines such as Google and Bing, with the limitation of one submit per day.
Note:
The sitemap cannot be edited, though a custom one can be uploaded. For more information on custom sitemaps, see Custom sitemap, robots.txt & other files.
Step by step:
- Open your published URL and add
sitemap.xml
to the end of it (for example,https://www.example.com/sitemap.xml
) - Enter the address into your browser.
- Save this file or link to it as needed.
If your sitemap shows non-secure URLs (HTTP instead of HTTPS), we recommend you require visitors to use a secure connection (HTTPS). To learn how to require HTTPS, follow the instructions in the Do I Need HTTPS section of the Add SSL or HTTPS article.
