Fixing duplicated results shown on the Booking Engine (Booking Website for Lite users)

You may find that your Booking Engine (Booking Website for Lite users) displays duplicate results in the "Select destination" search widget. It probably resulted from having properties listed under identical destinations but with slight variations in their names.

In the example below, one property's state is listed as "Florida" while the other is listed as "FL." The Booking Engine recognizes these as different locations and therefore displays Jacksonville as two separate destinations. Learn below how you can fix the issue.

Step by step:

  1. Create a custom listings report.
  2. Add the following columns to the report:
    • City
    • State
    • Country
    • Published City
  3. Search for duplicated results. In the example below, under "State" you can see that California is displayed both as "California" and as "CA", while under the "Country" column, the United States appears as both "United States" and "USA".

  4. Correct the addresses of the relevant properties.
