Once your locks are linked to properties the codes will be generated automatically for all confirmed reservations with future check in dates, and when new reservations are confirmed. Code validity is created/updated for all reservations with an ETD date and time in the future, allowing for last minute reservations.
You can see the details of a specific guest's code whether you are in a Reservation, in the Inbox, or in the Multi-calendar. Follow the steps below.
Note:
The "Keycode" field and {{keycode}} variable still exist in Guesty for codes created for guests by partners. The new "Guest Code" field and {{guest_access_code}} variable are specific to Guesty Locks Manager and should now be used in your automated messages to share codes with guest. Follow the steps here.
View Guest Code In a Reservation
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- At the top, click Reservations then Reservations reports.
- Click on the relevant reservation.
- Scroll down to the “Smart Locks” card to the right. The following information is displayed:
- Unique guest code
- Status of the guest code
- Unique back-up code, not generated until the day of arrival
- Status of the back-up code
- All locks related to the code
- Status of each of the locks. See more information here.

View Guest Code In the Inbox
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- In the top menu, click Inbox.
- From the drop-down, click Guests Inbox.
- Click the relevant message thread on the left side.
- In the Widget sidebar on the far right, click the door and lock icon. The following information is displayed:
- Unique guest code
- Status of the guest code
- Unique back-up code, not generated until the day of arrival
- Status of the back-up code
- All locks related to the code
- Status of each of the locks. See more information here.

View Guest Code In the Calendar
- Sign in to your Guesty account.
- From the top menu, click Multi-Calendar.
- Click on the relevant reservation.
- In the Widget sidebar on the far right, click the door and lock icon. The following information is displayed:
