Can multiple promotions be applied to a single reservation?

Promotions are discounts you can offer your guests to boost advanced bookings (with the "Early-bird" promotion) or to encourage them to book longer stays (with the "Length-of-stay" promotion). If you have multiple promotions, more than one could apply to a single reservation. When this happens:

  • For reservations made through a booking channel, the ability to stack promotions in a single reservation depends on the channel and what it allows.
  • For manual reservations and reservations made through our direct booking solutions (booking website, booking engine, or booking engine API) - length of stay promotions never stack. If the listing has multiple promotions, only the most relevant promotion or the promotion with the highest discount will be applied to the reservation, as in the examples below:
    • Example A
      A listing has a 10% discount for 5-night stays and a 20% discount for 6-night stays.
If a guest books 5 nights, they will get the 10% discount. If they book 6 nights (or more), they will only get the 20% discount, even though 5 nights are induced in a 6-night stay.
    • Example B
      A listing has a 10% discount for 5-night stays and a 20% discount for 5-night stays.
If a guest books 5 nights, they will get the 20% discount (even if the 10% discount promotion was created first).

Note:

For manual and direct booking reservations, length of stay promotions do stack with weekly/monthly discounts. If a weekly/monthly discount is applied to a reservation, the length of stay promotion will be deducted from the discounted price.
